Knowledge Risk Management

Knowledge Management - Academy

Key asset organisational knowledge is now included in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 30401 on knowledge management systems is expected to be launched in 2018.

Objective of the workshop:
DNV GL’s approach to knowledge risk management places knowledge firmly as a key asset in any organisation. All organisations manage knowledge, but not all organisations manage knowledge effectively. Many organisations suffer the consequences of ignoring knowledge management. These 'hidden' costs manifest themselves in a variety of ways. This workshop will help participants to identify the costs of ignoring this important management approach and raise awareness of the range of good practices in knowledge management which can address these issues. The workshop will bring you up-to-date with the development of DNV GL’s approach to knowledge risk management drawing on over a quarter of a century of experience. Please join this engaging and interactive workshop to learn how managing knowledge effectively can support your business objectives.

Who should attend:

The workshop is relevant for operators, engineering companies in the oil & gas industry and chemical process industry dealing with process engineering, HSE and risk.

DNV GL Presenter:

Michael Kelleher has specialised in knowledge management and organisational learning for 30 years now. In recent client work an emphasis has been placed on creating tools for knowledge retention and transfer, consolidation into single points of knowledge and knowledge sharing in multi-organisational or multi-project networks. Michael has supported a range of clients including: Sellafield, E-On, SGN, National Grid, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, European Commission and many others. He is working as Principal Consultant in DNV GL’s Knowledge Management Competence Centre.

We also offer customized workshops to include specific needs and more details on subjects in which you may have special interest.
