PED - Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU)
All pressure containing equipment placed on the EU market must conform to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The Directive was completed 29 May 1997; and since 30 May 2002 the EU Member States have the responsibility of implementing PED 97/23/EC in their national legislation. The directive has therefore remained unchanged for 20 years.
This changed when the latest Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) was fully implemented on 20 July 2016.
At this workshop the participants will obtain a general knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, and how to classify pressure equipment. Information is given on how the new directive differs from the previous directive. Knowledge is shared with regard to the steps required to obtain the final goal – CE Marking with respect to PED.
The duration of the workshop is three hours (incl. ½ hour for Q&A).
This workshop will especially focus on:
• Roles and liabilities (manufacturer, representative, operator, etc.)
• Conformity modules
• Conformity assessment
• Essential safety requirements (ESR)
• Examples of calculating PED Category
• CAB Involvement
• EU Declaration of Conformity
Who should attend:
This workshop is relevant for operators and their suppliers in the Oil & Gas industry and others who are working with pressure containing equipment and therefore interested in knowledge about the Pressure Equipment Directive.
We can also offer a customized workshop to include specific needs and more details on the amended legislation in which you may have special interest.
